Residential Land have been proud supporters of the Elton John Aids foundation for a number of years, and this year we were honoured to be invited back to the 13th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball which was held on 23 June 2011.

The annual event raises money for EJAF who provide support to incredibly important charities helping those affected or at risk of HIV/AIDS. Since its inception, the Ball has raised more than £40m.

This years event was even more poignant, as 30 years ago this month the illness was first diagnosed in the US. HIV quickly spread across the world infecting 60 million people and taking the lives of more than 30 million.

The special evening is hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish at their country estate in Windsor and always plays host to a wealth of celebrities. Each year, we are excited to be involved with the event and since June 2007 Residential Land and our invited guests have donated in excess of £1,000,000 to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

The highlight of the evening for everyone was when Elton sang “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” with the legendary George Michael:

We congratulate Elton and David for yet another incredible evening, and wish them further success with their other events throughout 2011 in support of EJAF.
