Residential Land are extremely proud of our sponsored youth football team Whetstone Wanderers under 12 Cougars who have just won the ‘White division’ title in the Watford Friendly league.
After a long, hard season, much of which was played on muddy pitches due to the winter weather, our team came out as Champions with a 5 point gap over second place.
This makes it 3 titles in a row for the Cougars and puts them in to the top league for their age group as they move to 11 a side.
Stuart Birke our Corporate Lettings Manager whose Son Grant has played in the team since he was 7 years old (6th from the left No2) commented “ it’s been a hard season and a few worrying moments along the way but they did us proud in the end.”
The Cougars almost succeeded in being double champions this season, but unfortunately narrowly missed out in the final of the Challenge Cup.
So a big congratulations to all our boys, the management and everyone connected with the Cougars.
