Residential Land was delighted to attend the 23rd PROPS Awards held at the Hilton Park Lane in May.  This prestigious annual event is organised by Variety Club for the very best in the property sector.  It was a wonderful afternoon raising over £300,000 to support the charity and especially the Variety Wheelchair programme.

For the second year the event was hosted by Martin Bayfield, a long-time supporter of the charity. He lent a cool and calm charm to proceedings, effortlessly taking a more comedic tone when required.  He was assisted by Miss World 2014, Megan Young, who helped him to present awards to the lucky winners.  Alongside the 800 property professionals in attendance were ambassadors Megan Wood and Freya Levy, both Team GB Paralympic basketball hopefuls whose wheelchairs are provided by the Variety Club.

Residential Land’s donation to the charity has been spent on a “Salsa-Midi” powered wheelchair for 10 years old Ellis Cull from Kent. Ellis’ family have explained the difference the wheelchair has made to their lives; “Having this powered wheelchair means a lot to us, as now we can enjoy more time together outside. Ellis already enjoyed couple of trips to the river and his first trip to a hockey game. All this is just a beginning”.
