Paddington Festival

Paddington is the place to be this summer as the community have organised a jam-packed schedule of free and low-cost events all over W2 for July and August. With everything from arts shows, talent contests, family days and even choir performances, it’s the best time of year for a London staycation.

Paddington Covers in Norfolk Square Gardens

Fancy enjoying the festival vibe, but can’t quite face tents, portaloos and vastly overpriced tickets? Head to Norfolk Square Gardens on 28th August for Paddington Covers, where a series of cover bands will be performing all the hits from top festival headliners. What’s more, they’ve taken the festival atmosphere even further with food stalls, a ping pong table and deckchairs for a true Latitude-in-London ambience.
Address: Norfolk Square Gardens, London, W2

Performances at the Canal Cafe Theatre

Catch up on culture this summer at the Canal Cafe Theatre, where a whole host of performers will be providing everything from comedy shows to thought-provoking plays. Highlights include hilarious sketch shows from Hurt and Anderson and News Review as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Preview, as well as a thoughtful production of bright ideas from the team behind last year’s five star performance of Samuel Beckett’s ENDGAME.

Water Lilies and Wine in Hyde Park

Enjoy an evening of drinks and well-deserved relaxation with the Water Lilies and Wine event on July 22nd in Hyde Park, organised by the Royal Parks Foundation. With a pond dipping session, a guided evening stroll, a sun terrace and a glass of wine all included in the price, it’s pretty much the ideal way to spend a Wednesday evening.

Benjamin Children’s Summer Fete

One of the highlights of the Paddington Festival schedule is the Benjamin Franklin House Children’s Summer Fete, a day of fun for the whole family including workshops, printing activities and plenty more activities to be announced closer to the time.
