Anthony Quin (MRICS) – Head of Surveying

Anthony has worked for Residential Land for more than three years and leads the Management and Surveying Department, which is responsible for all aspects of redevelopment, refurbishment and maintenance of the property portfolio. Key responsibilities include identification and implementation of Planning and Development opportunities, all reactive and preventative maintenance and ensuring the portfolio adheres to all current legislation. Anthony has worked in Prime Central London Residential as a Building Surveyor for the past 9 years and has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for the last 6 years.

Richard Cotton (FRICS, BSc) - Property Director

Richard joined Residential Land in October 2010. Richard retired from Cluttons as Senior Partner in March 2009. During his career with the firm he held various senior positions including an eleven year spell in the Middle East, an eight year posting in London Docklands and latterly as head of the Residential Agency Division, specialising in particular on the Private Rented Sector in London where he advised private, charitable and institutional investors. Since leaving Cluttons, Richard has been appointed as a non-executive director of a number of companies specialising in the Private Rented Sector and the Middle East. Richard is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the RICS Management Board and a Member of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce. His previous other posts include Master of the Chartered Surveyors’ Livery Company, and Board Member of the Saudi-British Joint Trade Board.

Stuart Birke - Head of Lettings

Stuart has worked in the property industry for 27 years and has worked for Residential Land since 2006. Stuart leads the lettings department with responsibility for all aspects of the group’s letting portfolio, maintaining exceptionally high occupancy rates, the implementation of all current legislation and company procedures and maintaining and developing relationships with our network of over 1,800 letting agents. The letting team’s extensive network enables c.60% of lettings to be sourced in-house resulting a significant cost saving on agents’ fees. Stuart joined Residential Land from Fraser & Co, where he set up and managed their new Baker Street office Marylebone.

Louise Savage (BA(Hons)) - Sales & Marketing Director

Since joining Residential Land in 2003, Louise has been responsible for all aspects of Residential Land’s internal and external marketing strategy. Louise’s team ensures that the group’s integrated marketing strategies are current with best in class on and off line communications to all stakeholders. Together with the usual marketing methods, Louise has implemented the newest online tools including Residential Land’s own website, property portals and analysis tools, social networking sites with pay per click advertising and search engine optimisation. Louise also works closely with the sales team providing information to prospective buyers and handling the sales process.

Khalid Sharifi - Portfolio Management Director

Khalid is responsible for overseeing the day to day property management of the portfolio. Khalid has over 20 years experience in managing properties with an emphasis on cost control and driving efficiencies. Khalid liaises with all departments ensuring that all maintenance and capital works are performed with minimal disruption to tenants whilst maximising income and minimising voids. Khalid joined Residential Land in 2001.

Jonathan Rust (ACA, MCSI, BA (Hons)) - Chief Financial Officer

Jonathan joined the Board of Residential Land in March 2009. He joined from Redrow Regeneration plc where he was the Finance Director. Jonathan has previously held senior positions at GE Real Estate where, following GE’s acquisition he led Haslemere NV’s finance team during its integration and delisting. Jonathan qualified with Arthur Andersen before transferring to Deloitte working in both the Audit and Corporate Finance Lead Advisory Teams providing corporate finance advice including company sales and asset disposals, acquisitions, venture capital backed transactions, MBOs/MBIs, equity raising and debt financing and Initial Public Offerings. Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Bruce Ritchie - Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Residential Land

Bruce is the 100% owner of the Residential Land Group of 163 companies which hold in excess of 1,200 privately rented individual properties in prime central London as well as hotels and prime Mayfair office buildings. As principle and founder of the Residential Land brand and having started as a sole trader Bruce has built prime central London’s largest private landlord from a small property trading business to a best in class specialist operator. Bruce is widely respected as an expert in his field and sits on the British Property Federation Residential Committee and is a Fellow of the Property Consultants Society. Bruce is also the joint owner in partnership with Marco Pierre White of the White Star Line restaurant group which have included Mirabelle, Drones, Quo Vadis, Criterion and others. Educated at Dulwich College he left school after A levels and rather than follow in the family tradition of going to Magdalene College Cambridge he went to work in Harrods of Knightsbridge joining their Management Training Scheme and becoming the youngest ever sales manager. By the time he left Harrods he owned 17 properties some of which he still owns today. Some 24 years later Bruce is both a Philanthropist and Benefactor of many of London’s worthy charitable institutions. Having completed c.860 property transactions since 1991 under the Residential Land Group of Companies and hundreds more personally prior to its creation, his success and track record speaks for itself.
