Residential Land recently attended the Sound & Vision 2011 Live Charity Auction at Abbey Road Studios on 24th February.

The unique event, now in its 6th year, is organised by leading music industry figures who come together to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. The Live Auction evening features performances from legendary musicians, an auction of rare music memorabilia and a music photography exhibition. The founding patron of Sound & Vision is Sir George Martin and the live auction offers exclusive access to the world famous Abbey Road recording studios.

Each year The Sound & Vision event attracts the support of famous rock stars who perform their classic hits to a small intimate paying audience. This year’s line-up included Tom Jones, Robert Plant, The Feeling, Newton Faulkner and Liam Bailey. The Sound & Vision 2011 live auction was an incredible success, and combined with ticket sales and internet auctions raised an incredible £340,000 for Cancer Research UK’s vital work.

The auction itself featured some fantastic money-cant’-buy lots, with rare collections of music memorabilia ranging from never before seen images of Morrissey to signed Bowie original album artwork. Residential Land managed to secure the winning bid on some rediscovered Rolling Stones prints.
