The evening was a huge success and ended with an exceptional “auction of chefs”, where diners had the opportunity to bid for one of the culinary stars to cook dinner in their own home. Residential Land successfully bid for Mark Edwards of Nobu to cook a private meal for 10 people. “Who’s Cooking Dinner” has raised £3.7million since its first charity auction in 1999.

Support the Savitri Trust Annual Charity Dinner

In December, Residential Land were invited to the Savitri Waney Charitable Trust Annual dinner held at Zuma restaurant in Knightsbridge. The dinner was hosted by Arjun Waney who set up the charity in 2001, naming it after his mother, Savitri.

Residential Land have proudly supported the Savitri Trust for a number of years. The annual dinner is always an enjoyable event, and provides an ideal opportunity to raise money for exceptional causes.

The Trust supports a number of different healthcare and community development projects throughout India and Nigeria with their primary focus remaining on curable blindness and mother & child healthcare.

Between 2010 and 2011 the Savitri Trust restored sight to 18,000 cataract sufferers living in poverty in Bihar, India. The trust is also involved in a four year long project targeting the issues surrounding mother-and-child healthcare in rural India, with an aim to drastically reduce infant and maternal mortality.
