Bruce Ritchie is one of the UK’s leading property investors and a respected figure in the Real Estate industry. Educated at Dulwich College Bruce started work at Harrods and completed their management training scheme as their youngest non-graduate trainee at that time. Following further training at the College for Distributive Trades, Bruce left Harrods in 1988 to concentrate on his property career.

He founded Residential Land in 1991 and quickly established it as a leading light in the prime central London property investment world. Over the ensuing two decades plus, he and RL have successfully invested through the property cycle to grow the company into a substantial business, owning and jointly-owning more than 1,000 properties in one of the world’s most prestigious locations. In 2004 Bruce entered into a successful JV partnership in the ownership of the Marco Pierre White restaurant group which included Mirabelle, Drones, Quo Vadis, The Belvedere, L’escargot and Criterion, which he has now sold.

In 2012 RL formed a partnership with a real estate subsidiary of one of the world’s leading pension fund managers . This successful partnership, under the Prime London brand, has enhanced Bruce’s reputation for co-investing alongside institutions and high net worth individuals.

Bruce is at the forefront of the creation and rapid growth of the UK’s professional private rented property sector, having demonstrated how excellent customer service and asset management can enhance the tenant’s experience. He is a member of the British Property Federation and has been a contributor to key media including Evening Standard, City AM, Estates Gazette, Property Week and The Telegraph.

Through his good fortune and substantial philanthropic efforts Bruce has been an active supporter of a range of charities and worthwhile causes.
