With all Residential Land properties, we pride ourselves on our service and the ability to make our residents’ lives as hassle-free as possible. An essential figure in this smooth-running machine is the building manager. Our newly-opened Palace Wharf development is looked after by Josh Goodwin, and we spoke with him to find out exactly how he ensures day-to-day operations are carried out perfectly.

What is your role as building manager at Palace Wharf?

I am the onsite representative of the landlord. I’m here to deal with any issues that a tenant may have during their tenancy – this can be anything from sorting maintenance issues to overseeing deliveries to letting.

What services do you get if you rent at Palace Wharf?

All of our flats are designed with top of the range, high-spec appliances. This includes large flat screen TVs, integrated ceiling speakers in bedrooms and living rooms, Crestron home automation allowing the tenant access to the CCTV system throughout the site, heated bathroom floors and wine coolers. Our flats are fully furnished and ready to move into with brand new linen on the beds and full kitchen packs laid out.

What sort of requests would you carry out for residents?

It is very important to me that my tenants have a smooth, worry-free tenancy at Palace Wharf. If there are any small requests that would help towards achieving this I am more than willing to oblige. Whether this be collecting deliveries, changing lightbulbs or even filling a tenant’s freezer if they have a shopping delivery!

Why would I want to live at Palace Wharf?

There isn’t much around that compares to Palace Wharf. It is a small, niche gated development directly on the river that allows our residents to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy London.

We are promoting an easy, laid-back style of living where a tenant can move into a brand new, luxury flat and not have to worry about the headache of maintenance issues or bits and pieces going wrong.

Our flats are extremely modern but also benefit from maintaining some of the characteristics that this historic building has to offer such as high ceilings, original exterior brickwork and double-glazed Crittall windows in keeping with the original design.

Who are these flats suitable for?

These flats are well suited for a variety of tenants, from professionals to singles or couples to students to people relocating from different countries as well as corporate rentals.

Where would you recommend for a local drink or a bite to eat?

You don’t need to travel far! There are some great local restaurants & pubs in the area including The Crabtree right next door – a fantastic pub that has always been a local favourite. They have a great garden and serve really good food. A few minutes from Palace Wharf is the famous River Café which is a very popular restaurant.

What do you like most about Palace Wharf?

The history behind the development. It was originally built as a marble factory in 1907 and today it blends the old with the new seamlessly.
