24th July 2019 was a very special day for the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF). Over €5.5 million were raised at their first-ever Midsummer Party in the South of France. The money raised at the event will be used to support HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, supporting services, and advocacy programs across the globe.

The star-studded evening was held at Johnny Pigozzi’s beautiful Villa Dorane at the end of Cap d’Antibes. Guests were enjoying cocktail reception and a sumptuous Provençal dinner with beautiful music provided by Stjepan Hauser of 2Cellos. After the dinner guests were invited to the auction in order to raise money for the charity.

After the auction Chris Martin of Coldplay thrilled guests with an amazing performance of “Sky Full of Stars,” “Yellow,” and “Everglow.”

The evening was an absolute success. ‘It’s because of the consistent support and kindness of so many people in this room that we are able to commit the Elton John AIDS Foundation to real partnerships with world leaders that can make a future without AIDS.” Elton John thanked to all the guests.

Residential Land and Bruce Ritchie have been supporting Elton John’s foundation for many years and now proudly took a position of the Event chair. “This is a great cause and we are proud to be able to help thousands of people over the years” said Mr Ritchie after the event.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was established in 1992 and is one of the leading independent AIDS organisations in the world.
