K9 Friends has been in operation since 1989 and their main aim has always been to rescue and rehome abandoned dogs. It is a volunteer run organisation that take in dogs and care for them until new homes can be found. They also provide animals with veterinary care where needed as well as provide care advice to new owners.
This wonderful charity and its work have been supported by many well-known people over the years, who love animals and feel that this particular cause is close to their hearts. Recently Simon Cowell attended The K9 friends charity auction and auctioned off four hospitality tickets for next year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent Final at a lot of £10,000 and four One Direction tickets for a lot of £4,000.
Simon explained that he was an animal lover and said: “Anyone who looks after animals will go to heaven.”
He also promised to match funds raised out of his own pocket.
