On Tuesday 23rd May 2017, the who’s who of the real estate world attended ‘the PROPS’ – an annual fundraising event run by children’s charity Variety.
Residential Land was proud to attend and support the awards ceremony, which raised just under £300,000 for Variety’s wheelchair programme. The donations are a vital contribution for Variety which provides specialist transport and equipment for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK.
Pulling out all the stops for ‘the PROPS’ silver anniversary, the glitzy event was hosted at London Hilton Park Lane by England and Rugby Lion’s legend Martin Bayfield and Miss World Stephanie De Valle.
Entertaining 750 guests in the hotel’s glamorous ballroom, the duo presented a host of awards including Deal of the Year, Property Lender, Residential Developer of the Year and Development of the Year. This year’s celebrated winners joined a long list of prestigious talent including the likes of Trevor Hemmings, Gerald Ronson CBE, Tony Pidgley CBE, Sir John Beckwith CBE, Sir John Ritblat, Sir William McAlpine, Richard Caring, Irvine Sellar, Michael Slade and Sir Stuart Lipton.
Renowned as the most prestigious awards ceremony in the industry, ‘the PROPs’ has raised close to £10 million – funding more than 2,000 custom electric wheelchairs and donating £250,000 to the Children’s Intensive Care Unit at St. George’s Hospital in South London.
